Day 3 of Our Trip to DC!!!!

So before I share about our trip, I have to show you a video of the cutest boy in the world..

Leo has learned to feed himself...I bought him this spill proof snack bowl. Everytime he puts his hand in he makes the cutest face. I'm not sure why the sound doesn't work......

So yesterday morning was graduation.....we left here at 7:15.....ALL 11 of us!!!! I was amazed!
Graduation was about an hour long. Leo made it through most of it. He really like the Band and the marching. I forgot my camera, so no pictures of graduation.

After lunch we went into DC.....

We rode on our first metro............

We were suppose to ride the same metro all the way into DC to the Smithsonians, but Trey, Josh, Thuyvi, Leo and I got bored and decided we would take a short cut that required switching metros twice. So we all 5 got off and went on our adventure, and left everyone else behind. Just for the record....it would have been a shortcut if we hadn't missed one of the metros!!!!! Here are some pictures of our adventure......

This is us making the first switch .....

This metro was alot more crowded..Leo hung on to the pole..

This is Josh and Trey figuring out we should have gotten on the metro that just shut its doors.....

WE MADE IT!!!!!!

Our first stop was the Air Musem...Leo slept throught the whole thing, but here he is by some airplane........

Next stop was the Native American Musem...It was very interesting, I was so amazed by everything, I forgot to take pictures, but here we are infront of it!!!

Here is the capital building......

Our next musem was the Natural History Musem.
Leo LOVED this one........

This was the dino exhibits.......

I think Leo thought he was apart of this exhibit.

He is feeling some kind of teeth......

Here is the happy boy waiting for us to decide what is next.....

Back on the metro for dinner.....

This is when everything went wrong, and all you could do is laugh. We got off the metro a a place called Crystal Springs for dinner...We thought (and were told) there was not much walking. Well we got off and kept walking and walking and walking trying to find somewhere to eat. We finally got to some buffalo place and the wait was 45 minutes. Finally we got in and ate at 8:00.....way past my dinner time!!!

.....of course Daddy is entertaining Leo.....

After dinner we started back for the long way back to the metro. We ran into this guy that lived there and said just go around this corner and there is another metro station. So we did, and there was no metro station. so we started walking again, and walking, and walking. We finally got back and rode the metro the rest of the way back to the parking garage. We got everything in the car and were ready to go. There was another problem the garage is closed, apparently you need a smart pass to get out after hours. It took us 20 minutes to figure out how to get out of the parking gargage.......by the time we were out Leo had crashed for the night. THANKFULLY!!!!

We will let you know how today...the 4th goes......

We're HERE!!

Today was our first full day here in the Washington DC/Quantico, VA area. We are here for Trey's brother's graduation from OCS (Officer Candidate School). We're staying in Quantico, VA. It took us 11 hours to get here yesterday. We left Mt. Juliet at about 8:00 and got here about 7:15. Leo did WONDERFUL!! I couldn't have asked for a better baby! Except for that one time when we stopped for a restroom break and as soon as we got back on the interstate, he decided to make us a present. We had to pull off at the NEAREST rest area to take care of that wonderful gift! He slept well last night, he woke up at 4 and got in bed with Trey and I and slept until about 7:30.

This morning we hung around the hotel and let Leo take it easy.......Here is a picture of my sleeping boys.....

Leo and Trey wore matching outfits today....they were too cute...........

We grabbed lunch at Panera, on our way to Family Day at the base.

Family Day consisted of an hour and a half introduction and explanation of the program, which Leo did not make it through. After getting his hand stuck between two chairs and a whole swarm of people pulling the chairs apart to free his hand, I decided it was time to walk outside. Needless to say he was worn out....

We finally got to get Uncle Josh and go eat......YEAH!

After dinner Uncle Josh had to go back for one more night. Trey, Leo and I got dropped off at the hotel while everyone else took Josh back to base. After a much needed nap for all 3 of us, Trey and Leo went swimming.

Tomorrow is graduation and then Washington...we will let you know how that goes......
